Colonial Williamsburg Virginia 2001

I visited Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown in Virginia from May 25th to 27th. It was cool to see where the first colonists landed, where revolution got started, and where the United States gained its independence. Here are some photos I took of the trip:

Lots of Rain at Williamsburg
We went to Colonial Williamsburg early on Saturday morning and as we were starting our tour it started to rain. The picture on the left was taken about noon and shows the downpour that eventually caused us to leave early. I did take some pictures on Saturday. The shots where it is sunny were taken on Sunday when we tried again.
This is the town magazine. It contained all the guns for the town milltia and the powder. This is an original building that was restored.
Lots of guns
The Courthouse
This is the courthouse. Next to it out of the frame is the town stocks where punishments were handed out.
